Application study of multiphase coupling array integrated magnetics in VRM

Abstract:

Applying electromagnetic integration technology in heterogeneity VRM could improve the response speed of VRM, proposing to use many vice core unified integrated multiphase coupling array type integrated magnetic structure in this paper, taking the four-phase non-isolation interleaved VRM’s four-phase coupling array type integrated magnetic structure for example to analysis. Analyzed the relationship between VRM reduce the steady state ripple as well as enhance the dynamic response with the integrated magnetic coupling degree. Analyzed and simulation verified the influence of coupling magnetic core’s yoke resistance to integrated magnetic parameters, comparing to the influence of integrated magnetic parameters asymmetry to VRM’s performance. Giving the design method of integrated magnetic, through prototype experimental demonstrate the validity of the theoretical analysis and simulation result.
